The Life Development Department (LDD) exists to nurture the wellbeing of the students, staff, and parents at AAJ. The department aims to transform education into a comprehensive life experience through our slogan (to choose, to grow, to influence). Our mission is to inspire growth, strengthen values, and build a caring, positive, and influential community. Through creative programs and holistic initiatives, LDD equips individuals to choose wisely, grow purposefully, and influence positively within their homes, school, and society.

Students
Values to Grow (VTG) Classes
A weekly class for Grades 1–12.
- Primary (Grades 1–5): A dynamic journey with sketches, songs, stories, films, games, crafts, and community service, integrated with music and art to create meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
- Middle & High School (Grades 6–12): Workshops, debates, discussions, and community service that shape young leaders with strong character, teaching them to choose, grow, and influence.

- Monthly “Teachers Day Out” to foster appreciation and community spirit.
- Weekly devotions and care groups to support spiritual and emotional wellbeing.
- Seminars and workshops for professional growth and stronger relationships.

Parents
Engaged and Empowered
- Part of our responsibility to raise awareness on life and education for parents; through seminars, workshops, meetings, community service, and outreach.
- Built on the themes, To Know, To Deal, and To Influence, the weekly MOMS group empowers young, stay-at-home mothers to grow into confident, well-equipped, and influential figures in their homes and communities.

The Life Development Department at Alliance Academy plays an integral role in the community by actively involving students, parents, and staff in initiatives that promote humanitarian values, encourage social responsibility, and cultivate essential life skills through hands-on experiences.
Students
Values to Grow (VTG) Classes

- MOMS Group, where they meet once a week to do workshops, seminars to discuss topics about life, motherhood, parenting, how to deal with ourselves and others, and this is a vibrant initiative centered on three themes:
1. To Know – building self-awareness and knowledge.
2.To Deal – learning practical skills for family and personal life.
3.To Influence – empowering mothers to become role models in their homes and communities.
- Community service and outreach projects to increase collaboration with students.
- Volunteer opportunities to encourage giving and active participation.

Supporting Underprivileged Groups

The school fosters compassion and social responsibility through community-focused initiatives:
- VTG Christmas Bazaars support the Financial Aid Fund for students in need.
- “Giving with Love” Campaigns unite students and parents to donate and deliver food to local families.
- Visits to orphanages and elderly homes build empathy and a lasting culture of giving.
Health and Social Initiatives

We promote health and social awareness through:
- engaging students and parents in “Walk for Life” initiative in collaboration with the King Hussein Cancer Center, to support children with cancer.
- Interactive workshops and student-led projects on physical and mental health, encouraging them to be balanced, healthy in their lifestyles.
- VTG Sports Day, where games reflect VTG values and build teamwork, respect, perseverance, and growth.
- Students Overnight, an annual event for primary and middle school students that fosters authenticity, responsibility, leadership, and community spirit.
Music
AAJ Choir nurtures students’ musical talents while sharing powerful messages of love and peace as they engage in community performances and school events.
Roots of Hope Club
In collaboration with the Counseling Department, this club nurtures young leaders who embody responsibility, generosity, and service, creating lasting positive change in their communities through:
- Planting values and shaping leaders who inspire hope and growth.
- Building a generation grounded in values, generous in spirit, and rich in hope, from small roots grows great impact.
Key Community Service Areas Overseen by the Department:
Supporting Underprivileged Groups
Organizing charity bazaars, with the funds raised directed to support the Financial Aid Program.
Launching campaigns such as “Giving with Love,” where donations are collected and food packages are assembled for families in need in the surrounding area, with participation from both students and parents.
Engaging with orphanages and elderly care homes to nurture a spirit of giving and social solidarity.
Values-Based Programs and Social Impact
Implementing the “Values to Grow” curriculum, which teaches humanitarian values through hands-on experiments, stories, videos, songs, and skits, encouraging students to adopt values such as generosity, respect, and responsibility…etc.
